Purpose of the Role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will offer comprehensive leadership for the organization. This individual will be tasked with advancing the organization's vision; executing a strategic plan for the future; managing specific objectives outlined in the annual operating plan and budget; fostering innovation and strategic thought; building and nurturing robust relationships with partners, members, and institutions; and acting as the public representative of the organization.

The CEO will serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization to all current and prospective stakeholders, including partners in business, academia, government, and other associations. This role will involve close collaboration with the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align Stakeholders: Unify the board, staff, and stakeholders in developing and supporting the organization's vision and mission.
  • Lead Organizational Management: Cultivate a collaborative environment across various business lines, ensuring a seamless experience for members and stakeholders.
  • Drive Results: Establish and monitor measurable metrics related to the implementation of strategic goals, budget, staffing, and annual plans.
  • Enhance Relationships: Act as the external spokesperson, positioning the organization as a key resource and voice for the manufacturing sector.
  • Exhibit Leadership: Maintain effective communication with the Board of Directors, ensuring they are informed and engaged in organizational matters.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of advanced manufacturing knowledge and leadership experience within associations or academia. They should have a minimum of ten years of leadership experience in a complex manufacturing environment, including oversight of staff and budgets. A proven track record in strategic growth, innovation, and collaboration is essential.
