- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef, directing food preparation and ensuring seamless service.
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve issues and improve kitchen operations.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establishing schedules and evaluating performance to ensure excellence.
- Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies, maintaining inventory levels and adhering to budget guidelines.
- Enforce strict adherence to sanitation regulations and safety standards, maintaining a clean and healthy work environment.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment, promoting teamwork and excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent track record of kitchen and staff management, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to think critically and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in computer software programs, including MS Office and restaurant management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
