Customer Service Representative

Location: Remote

Overview

The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for our clients, providing essential support for processing and managing customer orders. This role involves direct communication with customers and internal sales teams through various channels to ensure order accuracy and timely entry across multiple customer accounts. Team members will address inquiries related to orders and products, collaborating effectively with fellow representatives to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate data entry of purchase orders using SAP software.
  • Utilize SAP for tracking orders, gathering information, and resolving issues.
  • Manage a substantial volume of purchase orders and electronic communications efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with buyers, brokers, regional sales managers, and warehouse staff.
  • Verify order details by reviewing product descriptions and UPC codes, ensuring compliance with lead times and shipping schedules.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of marketing initiatives and sales promotions.
  • Investigate complex inquiries related to product code dates, shipping discrepancies, or order modifications.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts and internal personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service.
  • Exceptional customer service and support capabilities.
  • Strong skills in direct response sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Positive attitude, high energy, adaptability, and personal initiative.
  • Ability to process accurate work efficiently.
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
