Position Overview:

The Lead Project Scheduler will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the critical path method (CPM) schedules throughout all phases of construction projects, from initial concept to final closeout.

As the in-house scheduling authority, you will collaborate closely with project superintendents to ensure accurate schedule creation and updates.

Your responsibilities will include generating and distributing various reports derived from the CPM schedule to the project team, and you may oversee one or more scheduling assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of claims by analyzing project CPM schedule performance.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent in integrating design conflicts and clarifications into the CPM schedule.
  • Manage the CPM schedule to ensure successful project execution, coordinating resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Facilitate project CPM schedule review meetings at proposal, baseline, and update stages.
  • Create baseline schedules based on logic and sequencing information provided by the project superintendent.
  • Develop proposal phase CPM schedules using project data from the estimating team and historical records.
  • Produce a final as-built CPM schedule upon project completion.
  • Provide monthly reports to the general manager detailing the status of the CPM schedule for each project.
  • Regularly update and maintain the historical CPM schedule database.
  • Revise project CPM schedules weekly based on reports from the project superintendent.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
  • A minimum of five years of CPM scheduling experience in similar construction environments.
  • A four-year degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, scheduling systems, negotiations, engineering, and cost control schedules.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Capability to reach above shoulder height and below waist level frequently.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending may be necessary.
  • Limited use of electronic devices for communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance with all safety standards and procedures is mandatory.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs and ladders may be required.
  • Frequent use of hands for grasping, lifting, and handling objects.
  • Regular interaction with colleagues throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull objects occasionally.
  • Capability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for the duration of the workday.
