About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in planning and executing manufacturing processes, analyzing product specifications, and collaborating with various teams to develop and implement solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Manage large-scale design, control, and improvements to the manufacturing process to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Manufacturing Data Packages: Develop and manage Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs.
  • Material Management: Create and manage Material Master and MBOM requests to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials.
  • Engineering Design: Establish engineering design requirements tailored to manufacturing processes to ensure seamless integration.
  • Process Control: Develop and implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Factory Improvement: Lead factory-wide strategic improvement projects to drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  • Quality Assurance: Address large-scale quality issues that affect the factory and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Relationship Building: Develop influential relationships with internal customers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Program Execution: Participate in ERB/CCB, LOB, production increment planning as the program Ops representative to ensure smooth program execution.
  • Technical Support: Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, both in-house and in the supply base.
  • Tooling and Fixture Development: Develop and implement tooling and fixture designs to drive ergonomics into processes and improve efficiency.
  • Corrective Action Investigations: Lead corrective action investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively across different factory levels and inform program of major factory issues and factory of major program changes.
  • Contract Preparation: Assist with future contract proposals by providing BOMs for applicable hardware configurations and other tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance and a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Documentation: Experience with interpretation of technical documentation and ability to apply CORE principles and techniques.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Experience within a manufacturing environment and ability to apply lean manufacturing principles.
  • Leadership: Experience leading teams or projects and ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools, technical drawing interpretation, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work across disciplines.
  • Project Execution: Experience with project execution and ability to apply Six Sigma principles and data-driven decision making.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word).
