Position Title: Vice President of Operational Risk Strategy

Role Summary: The Vice President of Operational Risk Strategy will spearhead the operational risk management initiatives across our diverse segments, focusing on enhancing stakeholder trust and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational risk management processes to ensure that organizational objectives are consistently met.
  • Identify and address potential risks through a comprehensive and timely approach, minimizing impacts on stakeholders.
  • Lead the response initiatives to ensure alignment with the company’s vision of being a reliable partner to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with established risk management policies and facilitate the understanding of key risks among leadership.
  • Utilize advanced risk identification tools for new initiatives and processes.
  • Formulate and execute strategies for the evolution of operational risk management, focusing on early detection and prevention of potential issues.

Accountability: The Vice President will report directly to the executive leadership team, ensuring that:

  • Risk mitigation strategies are effectively implemented and monitored.
  • Dashboards and reporting mechanisms are in place to track adherence to risk management policies.
  • Long-term process controls are established to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Initiatives aimed at improving customer experience are prioritized, leveraging automation and efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree; advanced credentials such as CPA, MBA, or JD are preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in consulting is advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of internal control systems and risk management frameworks.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to fostering a culture of accountability.
