We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to become a vital part of our team in a hybrid, short-term contract. This role involves the comprehensive planning, design, configuration, implementation, testing, and transition to steady-state support of various infrastructure components, including network, telecommunications, servers, storage, and software across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with fellow engineering teams to establish best practices, processes, standards, and configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess vendor-provided hardware, components, and software solutions for compatibility and performance, offering recommendations to IT leadership.
  • Modify and troubleshoot vendor-supplied utilities and software packages as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for telecommunications, network, server, storage, and system software applications.
  • Identify, isolate, and resolve hardware and software issues, ensuring effective problem resolution.
  • Deliver solutions that are reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support infrastructure needs.
  • Conduct capacity and resource planning for network systems.
  • Evaluate network risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Provide insights to the supplier management team to aid in establishing vendor service agreements related to telecommunications and networking.
  • Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications and network systems, both hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical communications and network challenges (tier two support).
  • Act as a technical resource for infrastructure projects requiring telecommunications or network expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Infrastructure engineering role related to hardware and software components aligned with the technologies supported at GroupA.
  • At least 3 years of experience with VMware versions 7/8.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies.
  • Bachelor's or Technical degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in creating, reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical diagrams and written procedures.
  • Ability to organize processes or data according to patterns specific to policies, processes, or system requirements.
  • Experience in telecommunications and networking environments, including security, storage, server, and other infrastructure technologies relevant to the company landscape.
  • Proficient in the design, implementation, configuration, tuning, and optimization of technologies within the company framework.
  • Familiarity with ITIL concepts; ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
