Job Description:

The Associate Systems Engineer specializing in Ruckus & Oracle position within the CCA (Caribbean Central America) Organization focuses on staying updated with vendor-specific technical certifications to provide suitable recommendations to resellers regarding system solutions design and configuration.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Offer pre-sales technical support and configuration design expertise to partners and Sales teams for Oracle and Ruckus products. Utilize independent judgement to make solution recommendations.
  • Provide phone support according to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in sales/marketing efforts to enhance awareness of vendors and products.
  • Deliver technical presentations and training to sales, support, and clients.
  • Engage in departmental projects.
  • Report key metrics related to product line(s) regularly to SE Manager, Product Marketing Team, and vendor representative(s).
  • Document customer interactions, such as calls, emails, and training sessions.
  • Offer technical and non-technical input to colleagues as needed.
  • Promote pre-sales technical support methods like phone assistance, system diagrams, proposals, and training to boost sales of vendor products.
  • Create tactical plans and execute associated tasks to support QVO.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Systems Engineering Management or Team Lead.
  • Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards.

Main Tasks:

  • Configure Basic and Mid-level Configurations.
  • Handle phone calls and emails to address partner queries/questions effectively.
  • Handle Government Bid/RFQs.
  • Analyze and prioritize requests efficiently.
  • Utilize appropriate tools for configuration requests.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Review Data Sheets and conduct research to improve outcomes.
  • Participate in training sessions and utilize mentorship resources within the team.
  • Possess necessary skill sets for the role.
  • Focus on technology advancements.
  • Utilize critical thinking and decisiveness in decision-making.
  • Show ability to identify and utilize suitable tools for configuration requests.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills to work successfully in a team environment and interact efficiently with supplier and partner representatives via telephone and email.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks with attention to detail based on process requirements.

What We're Seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience to develop knowledge and skills for the role.
  • Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher) is mandatory.
  • Capable of building productive relationships with others.
  • Able to work constructively under pressure with high workloads and deadlines.
  • Skilled in delivering formal presentations and engaging in two-way conversations.
  • Capable of expressing ideas clearly and providing essential information.
  • Proficient in using computer applications like spreadsheets, word processors, and databases at a fundamental level.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to prepare and analyze reports and other business documents effectively.
  • Capable of delivering courteous and timely service while addressing customer inquiries and issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least one year of pre-sales support and marketing experience directly working with clients.
  • Three years of technical support expertise with PCs, high-end servers, LANs, and related components, including a year in a phone support environment.
  • Prior involvement in trade show activities.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills with proactive ideation and assertiveness.
  • Possesses excellent organizational and time management abilities to drive tasks to completion.
  • Competent in using computer applications at an intermediate level.
  • Knowledgeable about various PC components, software, peripherals, desktop platforms, applications, standalone and network operating systems, with specific technical prowess in at least one of these areas.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

Additional Education/Certifications:

  • Over three years of experience in Oracle or Ruckus (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in systems related field.
  • Certifications in Networking and Data Centers.

Work Environment:

  • Professional setting (Remote work).
  • May require non-standard work hours or overtime based on business needs.
  • Represents the company in sales-focused interactions with customers.
