Position Overview
The Office Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the front office activities within a healthcare setting. This position involves scheduling appointments, handling incoming calls, and warmly welcoming patients and visitors. Responsibilities also include overseeing patient check-in and check-out processes, creating and maintaining patient records, and ensuring the availability of office supplies.

Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage appointment scheduling and telephone inquiries.
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with professionalism.
- Oversee the check-in and check-out procedures for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient charts and medical records.
- Enter patient diagnosis codes into the electronic health record system.
- Handle financial transactions and maintain daily receipts.
- Supervise front office staff and ensure smooth operations.

Additional Duties
- Retrieve and deliver medical charts or information as needed.
- Organize and conduct chart audits in a timely manner.
- Maintain a well-organized filing system for medical records.

Qualifications
- High school diploma required; a minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical assistant role is preferred.
- Certification in medical assisting or a related field from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficient in telephone etiquette and customer service.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding is required.
- Computer literacy is necessary for managing electronic records.

Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity are necessary for operating a computer and calculator.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
