We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our team at Trotter Workforce. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Data Analysis: Extract and analyze data from our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other relevant systems to create current and forecasted production needs.
- Schedule Creation: Create, update, and maintain schedules for multiple departments to ensure smooth production operations.
- Job Prioritization: Create jobs and priorities based on current and projected production needs to optimize resource allocation.
- Inventory Management: Analyze inventory levels across multiple phases of manufacturing to understand priority needs and job sizes.
- Communication: Communicate scheduling conflicts with management throughout the production process to ensure timely resolution.
- Team Collaboration: Direct and assist Production Control Coordinators and Material Handlers with production priorities to ensure seamless execution.
- Production Tracking: Utilize our ERP system to track the status of current jobs and update the production team with any discrepancies during the production process.
- Manufacturing Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing planning in an MRP-supported environment.
- Education and Certifications: Some college education and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or other relevant certification preferred.
- Logistics and Inventory Control: Background in logistics, inventory control, or purchasing is beneficial.
- Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Self-starter and comfortable working in a team or independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities sometimes fluctuate.
- Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel experience.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills.
