Schedule:

The Security Dispatcher role operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with shifts assigned to meet the needs of the organization. This may include weekend and holiday shifts, as well as occasional overtime.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and radio messages, logging calls and providing assistance as needed.
  • Control the radio net and direct responses according to established procedures.
  • Screen non-team members and verify authorization to enter the facility.
  • Work in a fast-paced, stressful environment and maintain a high level of composure.
  • Ensure visitors and vendors sign in and out, and issue/retrieve temporary badges as needed.
  • Verify authorization for all team members, vendors, and others to enter the facility.
  • Operate various computer applications and possess knowledge of fleet vehicle management.
  • Monitor multiple radios and phones simultaneously, receiving and directing messages according to procedure.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to alarms on the annunciation panel.
  • Accept and log lost and found items, including those from hotel rooms.
  • Maintain fleet vehicles, controlling keys and recording entries on the activity log.
  • Document issue/receive of controlled keys according to procedure.
  • Coordinate with EMS, local law enforcement, managers, security officers, and the general population in response to emergencies and notifications.
  • Maintain good organizational skills and make records of events and activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required; currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six months from start date as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • One year experience in law enforcement, corrections, or other security dispatch capacity preferred.
  • Experienced and proficient user in Microsoft Word; skills test will be administered and candidate must achieve at least 70% skills pass rate.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; skills test will be administered and candidate must achieve at least 70% skills pass rate.
  • All candidates are required to participate in a panel interview and may be asked to demonstrate required skills through a realistic job preview.
  • Security-based auditions will include a verbal skill test and written report on a security incident; candidate must achieve at least 70% skills pass rate.
  • Experience in customer relations or guest services.
  • Must complete/pass TIPS and Title#31 training as a condition of employment.
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position.
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.
