Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide day-to-day technical support to our clients, including managing and maintaining Windows Server Operating Systems, and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Change Management: Demonstrate adherence to change management practices, including writing and submitting change requests, and obtaining approval from relevant stakeholders.
- Storage and Data Management: Assist in the management of storage and data, including file and folder permissions, and ensure that all data is properly secured and backed up.
- Operational Transition: Support the transition of enterprise solutions into production, and ensure that all systems are properly configured and tested.
- Technical Escalation: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical escalation, including coordinating with Level 3 support teams and ensuring that all technical issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Workforce Management: Ensure that the work schedules of SAIC and subcontractor employees are established, documented, and coordinated to provide coverage during contractually required operating hours.
- Performance Metrics: Review current workloads and ticket distribution, and reassign priorities as needed to ensure that service delivery metrics are met.
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or four years of experience in lieu of degree. Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (example: Security+ CE).
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret Clearance.
- Technical Skills: Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system, demonstrated professional experience with Windows Server 2012 and 2016, and demonstrated experience with VMware.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, DFS, and NTFS file share permissions. Fundamental understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos and LDAP. Basic networking experience (TCP/IP, routing, SSH, OpenVPN).
