Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Personnel Transactions Specialist to join our team at the Employment Development Department. As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to personnel transactions, including accurately interpreting and applying personnel-related laws, rules, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and apply personnel-related laws, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Process personnel transactions, including appointments, payroll, benefits, and attendance records
  • Act as a liaison between employees and control agencies to ensure timely and accurate processing of personnel documents
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of personnel transactions
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to employees and management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in personnel transactions or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Working Conditions

This position is located in downtown Sacramento and offers a hybrid schedule with a mix of office and telework. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent time management and organizational skills.
