We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accounting Specialist to join our team at State Street Corporation. As a Fund Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clients' financial data.
Key Responsibilities- Process and monitor daily fund activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Prepare and review periodic bank and cash reconciliations, as well as post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in managing internal workflow to ensure internal processing and client deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with other services departments to resolve errors or discrepancies, and work with internal clients to establish and maintain good working relationships.
- Ensure all processes are in line with the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and escalate if necessary.
- Participate in special client or internal projects as required, and assist in new business setup and conversions.
- Identify and report any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines.
- Initiate, propose, and implement improvements to enhance efficiencies and accuracy in financial operations.
- Liaise with investment managers, auditors, and banks to ensure seamless communication and resolution of issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain organized and efficient workflows.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify and escalate potential issues.
- Self-motivated with a passion for learning and growth, with a willingness to attend State Street training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
