Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personnel Supervisor I to join our team at the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. As a key member of our personnel operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient operation of the Transactions Section, which supports our personnel transactions programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide technical expertise, training, and guidance to a team of 4-6 Personnel Specialists (PS)
  • Direct, plan, organize, prioritize, assign, monitor, and review staff workload
  • Act as a liaison with control agencies, apply, and interpret Government Code Provisions, collective bargaining agreements, and directives from control agencies
Working Conditions

This position is located in a high-rise building and requires daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone. Telework is available fifty percent (50%) of the time.

Benefits

This recruitment is eligible for an annual recruitment and retention bonus of $2,400 to $4,800 with the completion of the required qualifying pay periods. This position may be eligible for full or part-time telework for eligible candidates residing in California.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of Government Code Provisions, collective bargaining agreements, and directives from control agencies.
