The Inspector General's Office is in search of a motivated, meticulous, and creative professional to become a vital member of our Transactions and Benefits Team.
Under the general oversight of the Staff Services Manager I (SSMI) and with guidance from an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA), the Senior Personnel Specialist will tackle the most challenging and intricate personnel and payroll matters. This role involves investigating significant personnel issues and proposing alternative solutions while adhering to State laws, regulations, and policies related to personnel transactions, which encompass record maintenance, certification, payroll processing, and documentation.
The Senior Personnel Specialist is expected to exercise discretion when discussing work-related matters with departmental colleagues and to foster collaborative relationships with various regulatory agencies. Maintaining a professional demeanor, demonstrating initiative, sensitivity, and sound judgment is essential. Regular attendance and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success in this role.

We provide flexible work arrangements, including alternate workweek schedules and telecommuting options. However, the Senior Personnel Specialist is required to be present in the office at least one day each week, with the possibility of additional in-office days based on project demands.
Special Requirements
- Successful candidates must pass a Background Investigation prior to employment.
