Job Summary

The Department of Social Services is seeking a highly skilled Associate Personnel Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Audits Compliance Unit, you will play a critical role in supporting the California Department of Social Services in meeting its goals and objectives with control agency audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough audits of payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
  • Identify and analyze trends and patterns in payroll data to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our audits and compliance functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex payroll issues and ensure compliance with state laws and regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to staff on payroll-related matters.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of California state payroll regulations and laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
