Position Overview

The Field Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing guidance and oversight within the designated region. This role is essential for managing technical challenges and workforce requirements while effectively addressing client inquiries and issues.


Essential Experience in Data Centers Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver leadership and support at the field level within the assigned region.
  • Oversee Outreach personnel, ensuring adherence to performance standards, disciplinary actions, and compliance regulations.
  • Regularly report on performance metrics and operational challenges.
  • Facilitate training for current Installers/Technicians on evolving processes, protocols, and technologies.
  • Assist in the onboarding and ongoing development of new team members.
  • Manage technical challenges and workforce requirements in the region.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary.
  • Identify staffing needs and fulfill them in the designated area.
  • Ensure all technicians receive necessary safety training and possess appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform their duties in compliance with regulations.
  • Address client concerns and complaints promptly.
  • Ensure timely data collection and quality assurance checks.
  • Collaborate with local sales teams on new and existing client opportunities.
  • Effectively execute projects while maintaining budgetary constraints and timelines.
  • Communicate promptly with management and sales teams regarding any issues affecting departmental staff or operations.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service Representatives on scheduling and call assignments.
  • Order and schedule the delivery of all necessary equipment for projects.
  • Ensure field technicians maintain appropriate inventory levels in the assigned region.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the fleet within the designated area.
  • Inspect all assigned vehicles and equipment for cleanliness and proper maintenance.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new hires as needed.
  • Timely submission of reports on incidents, accidents, work-related injuries, and exposures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities; completion of a DISC assessment (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Compliance) or similar is required.
  • Basic financial acumen and understanding of margin management.
  • Fundamental knowledge of controls and awareness of technical limitations.
  • Availability for after-hours and weekend support is mandatory, with an expectation of prompt communication.
  • Act as a liaison between the office and management, driving expectations effectively.
  • Serve as the primary communication point between field operations and the office.
  • Proven track record in supervising field operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Able to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Solid understanding of contract terms and pricing structures.
  • Ability to strategically address and resolve issues.
  • Aptitude for working in both field and office settings for extended or irregular hours.
  • Capacity to adapt to frequently changing priorities.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree or Project Management Certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills, both in person and via telephone.
  • Manual dexterity to handle objects or controls.
  • Capability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
