Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Create a work environment that fosters respect, inclusivity, and empowerment among team members. Ensure that each employee feels valued and supported in their role.
  • Production Planning and Control: Develop and implement effective production plans to meet customer specifications and manufacturing requirements. Ensure that all parts are built to the highest quality standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide comprehensive training and coaching to employees and team leaders to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Communication and Risk Management: Communicate work rules and standards of conduct to employees. Identify and mitigate risks in operations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Performance Management: Assess employee performance and provide coaching and discipline as necessary. Ensure that employees are trained to safely perform their jobs.
  • Quality and Process Control: Ensure conformance to quality procedures and proper application of quality and process controls. Encourage and support improvement ideas from operators.
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Continuous Improvement teams to identify and propose solutions to improve processes and operations. Participate in meetings with managers to evaluate performance results and planned actions.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Four-year degree or two-year degree in pursuit of a four-year degree with two to four years in supervision and/or more than 3 years practical experience in supervision/management.
  • Skills and Competencies: Ability to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems. Analytical skills to gather and interpret production information. Computer competency required, including spreadsheet, charting, and word documentation.
  • Work Environment/Work Conditions: Manufacturing environment with exposure to high and low temperatures depending on the season. Must wear proper personal protection equipment at all times while on the manufacturing floor.
