HVAC Trainee

Position Overview:
The HVAC Trainee will support the installation and upkeep of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in HVAC services and installations, including equipment testing, mounting, diagnosis, refrigerant adjustments, and control wiring.
• Work alongside HVAC Service Technicians to execute service and installation tasks.
• Help in the replacement, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration units.
• Perform power washing on HVAC equipment units.
• Conduct performance maintenance calls.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with enrollment in an Apprenticeship program.

Essential Competencies:

• Effective communication skills with team members and clients.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

Physical Requirements:
The role demands physical capability to operate various machinery and equipment, including electronic diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and diverse HVAC apparatus. Candidates must be able to engage in activities such as:

• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Physical demands are consistent with medium work, requiring the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

Work Environment:
This position primarily involves working independently on HVAC and boiler systems in various environmental conditions, which may include extreme temperatures.
