Position Overview

The Field Service Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing guidance and oversight within the designated region. This role encompasses managing technical challenges and workforce requirements while addressing client feedback and issues.


Essential Experience Required

Data Center experience is mandatory.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support field operations in the assigned region.
  • Oversee Outreach personnel, including performance evaluations and compliance adherence.
  • Deliver regular updates on operational performance and challenges.
  • Train current Installers/Technicians on evolving processes and technologies.
  • Assist new hires with training and ongoing professional development.
  • Manage technical challenges and workforce requirements in the area.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary.
  • Identify staffing needs and ensure they are met.
  • Ensure all technicians receive comprehensive safety training and possess the necessary PPE to perform their duties in compliance with regulations.
  • Address client concerns and complaints effectively.
  • Ensure timely data collection and quality assurance checks.
  • Collaborate with local sales teams on customer opportunities.
  • Execute projects successfully while adhering to budget and timelines.
  • Communicate promptly with management and sales teams regarding departmental staff or operational issues.
  • Coordinate with CSR on scheduling and call assignments.
  • Order and schedule the delivery of all necessary equipment for projects.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels for field technicians in the assigned area.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the fleet within the designated territory.
  • Inspect all assigned vehicles and equipment for cleanliness and operational readiness.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new hires as needed.
  • Timely reporting of all incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities; completion of a DISC assessment or similar is required.
  • Basic financial acumen and margin management understanding.
  • Familiarity with controls and self-awareness of technical limitations.
  • Availability for after-hours and weekend support; prompt communication is essential.
  • Act as a liaison between field operations and management, driving expectations.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between field staff and the office.
  • Proven experience in supervising field operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Able to work in diverse environmental conditions.
  • Strong leadership and communication capabilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of contract terms and pricing structures.
  • Ability to strategically address and resolve issues.
  • Aptitude for working in both field and office settings for extended periods.
  • Adaptability to frequently changing priorities.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree or Project Management Certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone.
  • Capable of using hands to manipulate objects or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms as needed.
  • Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
