Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary:

MJ Recruiters is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance projects, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Coach a Team: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintenance Management: Champion all production and facility maintenance management, including overseeing facility projects, managing timelines and budgets, and serving as the point of contact for contractors and vendors.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Maintain and improve the preventative maintenance program, optimize the current Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and establish consistency in its usage.
  • Minimizing Downtime: Focus on minimizing downtime, track and improve maintenance metrics, and oversee spare parts inventory.
  • Collaboration: Partner with operations and maintenance staff to complete mechanical troubleshooting and assist the site electrical engineering lead with automation and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Experience: At least five years of operations maintenance experience, with at least three years of experience supervising others.
  • Skills: Mechanical troubleshooting, including conveyors, pneumatics, etc., PLC troubleshooting, general knowledge of AC/DC, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills:

  • PLCs, automation, and/or robotics.
  • CMMS experience.
  • KPIs/metrics tracking.
