About the Role
Northside Hospital is a leading healthcare provider, renowned for its exceptional patient care and innovative approach to medicine. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to minimize wait times;
- Gathering and distributing patient information for billing and collections purposes;
- Facilitating hospital admissions and ensuring accurate and efficient data entry;
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals;
- Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to resolve patient-related issues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent;
- One year of medical office experience or two years of secretarial office experience;
- Excellent communication and strong customer service skills;
- A working knowledge of computer systems and software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
- Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment;
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position, working 8:30AM-5PM, Monday to Friday, with no weekend or on-call requirements.
