About the Role

Northside Hospital is a leading healthcare provider, renowned for its exceptional patient care and innovative approach to medicine. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to minimize wait times;
  • Gathering and distributing patient information for billing and collections purposes;
  • Facilitating hospital admissions and ensuring accurate and efficient data entry;
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals;
  • Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to resolve patient-related issues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • One year of medical office experience or two years of secretarial office experience;
  • Excellent communication and strong customer service skills;
  • A working knowledge of computer systems and software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment;
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working 8:30AM-5PM, Monday to Friday, with no weekend or on-call requirements.
