RN UNIT MANAGER


The RN Unit Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing, executing, coordinating, and managing patient care through effective communication with patients, families, nursing personnel, and other stakeholders within the designated unit, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Qualifications include a nursing diploma (associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing)

  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in geriatric nursing is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge in the nursing field
  • Familiarity with practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing operations in post-acute care settings
  • Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Proficiency in all competency areas, including but not limited to: patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of all proprietary and/or sensitive information
  • Understanding and adherence to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
  • Demonstration of integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing all mandatory compliance training
In this role, you will effectively guide the daily operations of unit nurses and CNAs, providing essential leadership on the floor.

  • Manage, coordinate, and deliver patient care and services through interpersonal interactions that enable patients to achieve or sustain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Take a leadership role in responding to emergency situations that affect patient and staff safety
  • Coordinate comprehensive patient care plans and services
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
