Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist

Adecco is currently partnering with a local organization to identify a Hybrid Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist opportunity.
Compensation: $
36.07/HRSchedule: Monday – Friday with flexible start times of 8 or 8:30am
Duration: 7 months (potential for temp-to-hire)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist will oversee credit and collection processes for designated customer accounts receivable portfolios. This role will engage with both external and internal stakeholders to enhance sales, positively influence cash flow, mitigate bad debts, and reduce days sales outstanding for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned accounts receivable portfolios, from account setup to cash collection. This role will also address disputes with customers to achieve favorable resolutions for both parties.
- Primary focus will be on collection activities, including contacting customers, issuing statements, sending reminders and invoices, and processing customer payments.
- Evaluate credit applications and determine or recommend credit limits.
- Assess sales orders on credit hold for approval.
- Conduct accounts receivable reconciliations.
- Handle dispute resolution.
- Process credit card transactions and oversee monthly auto-pay activities.
- Communicate with customers via phone and email, maintaining a balanced approach.
- Document all customer interactions and collection efforts in the collection software system.
- Provide insights on monthly bad debt reserves.
- Act as a liaison for customers, coordinating with relevant business units and the Order-to-Cash team.
- Ensure seamless process flow while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Mitigate risks by fostering mutually beneficial outcomes between the organization and customers.
- Manage third-party collection agency placements and oversee bankruptcy documentation processes.
- Generate reports as requested by management or other internal stakeholders.
- Engage in acquisition and integration initiatives, preparing to brief management on system, account, client, and policy integrations of acquired entities.
- Continuously enhance productivity and efficiency through process improvement, time management, and change management initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Spanish (speaking and writing).
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- CMA License.
- 5-10 years of experience in B2B collections.
- Open-mindedness and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to investigate and resolve issues comprehensively throughout the credit and collections cycle.

Compensation Details: $36.07 per hour
