RTA US is looking for a Senior Accounting Consultant to join our dynamic team.
Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 6+ Months with potential for extensions.
Compensation: $55 - $60 per Hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the timely completion of monthly closing tasks, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and report generation.
- Possess a robust understanding of Revenue Recognition under ASC-606.
- Analyze discrepancies in financial statements and assist in rectifying issues to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct thorough analyses of balance sheets and reconciliations, reporting any discrepancies and aiding in monthly resolution processes.
- Ensure precise and prompt recording of corporate accounting transactions.
- Support complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and unbilled items.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives, contributing to testing, analysis, and post-implementation reviews.
- Utilize AI and automation technologies to improve accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations, setting benchmarks for excellence.
- Collaborate on departmental projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency and delivering value.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and a readiness to assist with diverse requests.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining accuracy.
- Work in partnership with teams across North America, including Corporate Revenue Recognition, Consolidated Reporting, and Digital Transformation.
- Engage closely with data and systems specialists to leverage technology for enhanced accounting practices.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle, Netsuite, or Great Plains.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP principles.
