Role Summary:We are seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is hybrid, requiring a combination of in-office and remote work.
The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist will become part of a talented, creative, and motivated IT Security Team dedicated to safeguarding the operational capabilities of our organization. This will be achieved through the implementation of robust security measures and the establishment of standards and controls that encompass both commercial and government operations.

Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with IT teams to assess compliance with NIST/CMMC controls, including:
- Interpretation of control implementation and documentation
- Analyzing risk and maturity assessments of existing cybersecurity controls
- Planning for risk and gap remediation
- Executing System Security Plans
- Conduct risk assessments for identified vulnerabilities and assist in the implementation of treatment options based on program, product, or contractual obligations.
- Apply Zero Trust security principles to secure all systems and endpoints.
- Support Cybersecurity in providing accurate client security questionnaires and evaluating compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Provide proactive updates to Cybersecurity for the maintenance of cybersecurity documentation (policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures).
- Contribute to fostering a security-focused culture within the IT department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Clearance.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Cybersecurity and Compliance.
- At least 4 years of recent experience directly related to Cybersecurity, regulatory governance, and IT security practices.
- Experience in documenting and maintaining Cybersecurity guidelines, policies, and standards.
- Familiarity with CMMC readiness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Security, Computer Science, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with U.S. government prime contractors or subcontractors.
- Strategic thinking ability regarding business, products, and technical challenges.
- Experience in analyzing business or technical issues and proposing and implementing solutions.
- Knowledge of networks, operating systems, applications, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements, including ISO27001, SOC2, NIST, and CMMC.
- Experience with third-party risk and M&A Cybersecurity assessments.
- Relevant Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM).
- Active Secret/TS clearance.
