Fort Bend County is a dynamic and growing community that values diversity and inclusivity. We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Court Administrator. This role will provide administrative support to the Magistrate Judges, managing criminal dockets and files, and performing duties as assigned with the state-mandated Public Safety Reporting System (PSRS).

  • Prepare and enter files, review dockets, and set court hearings.
  • Serve as a liaison between the court, public, state and federal agencies, and County departments.
  • Respond to inquiries from law enforcement agencies, county departments, and the general public.
  • Assist in developing and preparing the annual budget, requisitioning supplies through the County purchasing system, and maintaining department inventory.
  • Maintain updated information regarding hourly credit for the Judge and the Court Coordinators continuing legal education.
  • Assist the judge with travel arrangements, clerical duties, schedules, mail, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a job-related legal field.
  • Strong computer and typing skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with other employees, the public, and elected officials.
Salary: $20.00 per hour, Up to 29 hours per week
