Job Summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will conduct competency evaluations, provide expert testimony, and interact with judges, attorneys, and other court staff.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts competency to stand trial evaluations and sanity evaluations
  • Completes written reports and provides court testimony
  • Interacts with judges, attorneys, and other court staff
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology
  • Licensed as a Psychologist or eligibility to be licensed
  • Qualifications as an expert as indicated by Article 46B of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure
Requirements
  • Competence in administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests
  • Knowledge of diagnostic criteria and clinical features
  • Clear and concise written expression skills
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
