Job Summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Cost Control/Construction Accountant. This position involves providing on-site facility and project management services for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, addressing challenges related to construction cost management, tracking of funds, and budgeting.
  • Conduct financial analysis, economic analysis, and report production.
  • Administer projects, manage programs, and maintain databases.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial/government facility construction project management.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis using Excel spreadsheets, including formulas and formats.
  • Experience with cost controls and financial cost tracking.
  • Database software and report production experience.
  • Ability to develop and evaluate economic analysis.
  • Experience with construction project cost estimates and tracking funds.
  • SharePoint database management and design experience.
  • Ability to pass a DHS "suitability" background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, PMP, and federal government accounting experience.
  • Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial/government building projects.
  • Ability to work independently, in groups, and in a stressful environment.
Preferred Education
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or construction management from an accredited University recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
