We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Specialist to join our team at The Building People. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Create and update training materials, including instructor guides, participant manuals, and visual aids, to ensure that they are engaging, informative, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars on a range of technical topics, including measurement standards, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess trainees' proficiency and knowledge, making informed decisions about their competency and suitability for roles based on these evaluations.
  • Training Management: Operate and maintain our Training Management Software, ensuring that all training records and data are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with department leaders and training teams to identify training requirements and develop bespoke programs that meet the needs of our staff.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on technical training and curriculum design.
  • Skills: Ability to craft, refine, and refresh training modules and resources, assess the impact of training initiatives, and facilitate interactive training sessions.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with ANSI/BOMA Z65 measurement standards, GSA's PBS National Business Space Assignment Policy, and eSMART.
Additional Requirements:
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality training programs.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized and able to multitask, with a high attention to detail.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to meet Federal and DoD Government security background checks, HSPD-12, Fingerprinting, and agency-specific screening.
  • Remote Work: 2+ years of experience working from home or a remote location, with minimal supervision.
