Position Overview:
We are looking for a CPA with a minimum of 10 years of experience, particularly with high-net-worth clients. The role involves reviewing and refining accounting prepared by tax accountants, as well as preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities including Partnerships, S-Corporations, Individuals, and Trusts. Our firm has a significant focus on real estate, which constitutes about 60% of our clientele.

Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant designation
  • At least 10 years of public accounting experience, preferably from a mid-to-large sized firm
  • Experience with partnership tax issues, including capital account maintenance, 1031 exchanges, and relevant tax regulations
  • Multi-state tax experience is essential; international tax knowledge is a plus

Skills:
Proficiency in Excel and experience in a paperless office environment are essential. Familiarity with software such as Lacerte, QuickBooks, and CCH Engagement is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review accounting records, workpapers, and tax returns
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to address client needs
  • Direct client interaction and management of client groups
  • Provide tax planning and undertake special projects requiring analytical and creative skills
  • Stay updated on multi-state tax regulations and compliance policies
  • Manage federal and state tax audits
  • Engage in additional tax-related projects as necessary
