POSITION SUMMARY

The selected candidate will be responsible for executing physical gas transactions, optimizing transportation resources, and managing asset management agreements. This role includes overseeing the operational connectivity from production sites to processing facilities and managing contract portfolios for Gas and NGLs. A significant aspect of this position is to cultivate and sustain robust relationships with both key and strategic clients. The individual will ensure that marketing activities align with Coterra's growth objectives while securing optimal pricing through access to premium markets. Additionally, the role emphasizes teamwork and collaboration across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor and relay Drilling and Completion activities to ensure timely integration with third-party midstream partners.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Contract Administration to establish a systematic approach for supplying processors and gatherers with updated forecasts as per contractual obligations.
  • Support Operations to guarantee Gas flow assurance.
  • Notify relevant parties of Gas interruptions due to shut-ins.
  • Negotiate new and existing contracts, including renewals.
  • Conduct Economic Analysis for new developments and transitions from high-pressure to low-pressure systems.
  • Lead and coordinate acreage transactions for Gas and NGLs.
  • Cross-train to provide backup for short-term physical trades within designated market areas.
  • Complete daily, monthly, and long-term physical sales, ensuring accurate documentation in accordance with internal guidelines.
  • Negotiate asset management agreements related to firm transportation assets to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor credit balances and collaborate with Treasury to maintain appropriate credit levels for all customers.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new key customers, ensuring compliance with legal terms and conditions.
  • Analyze market dynamics and macro trends, assisting in the preparation of presentations for various meetings and conferences.
  • Develop relationships with customers to fulfill their natural gas needs and position Coterra as a preferred supplier.
  • Optimize existing agreements through strategic sales restructuring.
  • Work closely with Scheduling to enhance production efficiency and address unscheduled production challenges.
  • Provide pricing insights and market trend analyses to management and relevant departments.
  • Represent Coterra at industry conferences and customer engagements.
  • Lead customer site visits and interactions as necessary.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Preferred: MBA or Master's in Energy or Finance.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum: 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Marketing sector.
  • Preferred: 10 years of industry experience.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily conducted in an office setting. The role may require typing, sitting, and standing. When visiting operational sites, adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Employees should be prepared for occasional travel and extended hours as needed.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

Travel requirements are minimal, typically less than 10-15%, primarily for mandatory meetings or training sessions.
