About the Permian Basin

The Permian Basin, spanning West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico, is the most productive oil and gas region in the United States, significantly contributing to the nation's energy independence. It is responsible for approximately 40% of the country's oil and 15% of its gas production, playing a vital role in the U.S. becoming a leading energy exporter.

As a crucial asset for ExxonMobil, the Permian Basin accounted for around 40% of the Corporation's net oil and gas production in the U.S. in recent years, with promising growth prospects. Production levels have surged, and we anticipate continued increases in output. Our operations in this region are also notable for pioneering a plan aimed at achieving net-zero Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, aligning with our broader commitment to sustainability.

Your Role in Our Team
  • Production Monitoring: Supervise the extraction of oil and gas from wells, ensuring optimal output levels.
  • Maintenance Duties: Perform regular inspections and upkeep of production equipment to avert breakdowns.
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions or collaborate with specialists for intricate repairs.
  • Data Management: Keep precise records of production metrics and document daily operations.
  • Safety Assurance: Comply with safety standards and procedures to uphold a secure working environment.
Your Responsibilities

About You

Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Experience: Prior experience in oil field operations and familiarity with production equipment and maintenance is advantageous.
  • Licenses: A valid driver's license is required; some regions may necessitate additional certifications.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of oil and gas production equipment, with problem-solving skills for mechanical issues.
