Job Summary:

The Store Clerk is responsible for overseeing the receipt and management of incoming products from various warehouse locations. This role involves processing payments from retail customers and employees for goods sold at our stores. The Store Clerk will also play a vital role in promoting supplier brands to licensed retail customers through effective account management and communication, contributing to the achievement of company and supplier goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receive and track incoming products.
  2. Organize stock and replenish shelves as necessary.
  3. Conduct inventory assessments and report findings to management.
  4. Prepare sales and inventory reports categorized by type, size, and quantity.
  5. Assist customers with their product inquiries and orders.
  6. Provide pricing information and detailed descriptions of items.
  7. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field. Previous experience in retail merchandising is highly desirable.

Communication Skills:

The role requires the ability to read and interpret various documents, including invoices and procedure manuals. Strong writing skills for routine reports and correspondence are essential, as well as effective verbal communication skills for interactions with managers, customers, and colleagues.

Mathematical Skills:

Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations and the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages is necessary.

Reasoning Ability:

The position demands the ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and resolve problems in standardized situations.

Skills and Abilities:

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are required. The candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, and customers at all levels.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and to perform various physical activities such as walking, standing, climbing, and reaching.
