Key Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the shipping and receiving of materials and components, maintaining accurate inventory records, and distributing parts or materials to various departments within the organization. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring efficient warehousing operations, including the secure storage and accountability of aircraft materials.
  • Coordinating the movement of repairable materials to and from repair vendors and company warehouses.
  • Overseeing the timely and precise receipt of inbound purchases and repairs.
  • Addressing and reporting any shipping or receiving discrepancies to management.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and departmental standards.
  • Acquiring aircraft on ground (AOG) parts during non-business hours.
  • Maintaining accurate computerized inventory and resolving vendor discrepancies.
  • Ensuring proper accounting and organization of company inventory and materials according to industry standards.
  • Preparing materials necessary for daily maintenance and redistribution.
  • Complying with regulations concerning the shipping, receiving, and storage of hazardous materials, including employee training and awareness.
  • Maintaining a clean driving record under company insurance policies.
  • Demonstrating punctuality and regular attendance.
  • Exhibiting a thorough understanding of all GMM and Stores procedures, as well as FAA regulations.
  • Ensuring that vehicles and warehouse equipment are well-maintained and securely stored.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Internet).
  • Hazmat experience is preferred; training will be provided.
  • Forklift certification is desirable; prior experience is a plus, but training is available.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SIDA access within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work occasional odd hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Capability to lift 50 lbs and operate various equipment.
  • Must hold a valid passport.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in aircraft inventory control, purchasing, or warehouse logistics.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Proficient in using small tools (e.g., hammer, screwdriver).
  • Capable of operating ground equipment (e.g., forklift, pickup truck).
  • Manual dexterity for computer operation.
  • Physical activity breakdown: Stand - 80%, Walk - 15%, Sit - 5%, Travel - 1%, Lift - 50 lbs.

Mental Capability Requirements:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capacity to understand, remember, and apply oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and communicate effectively.
