This role involves collaborating closely with commercial paint clients to assess their requirements, address inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams offerings, and propose suitable solutions. The Wholesale Branch Operations Specialist is also responsible for swiftly resolving any client issues to ensure optimal customer satisfaction while keeping abreast of product features and maintaining the high quality and visual standards of the merchandise and store.

The selected candidate will be expected to work in a part-time capacity, dedicating up to 28 hours weekly. Compensation begins at $22.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure exceptional levels of customer satisfaction through outstanding sales service.
  • Assist clients both in-person and via phone by identifying needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Establish and nurture productive trust-based relationships with wholesale clients.
  • Accurately process sales transactions in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Achieve sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain accurate work order files and formulas.
  • Retrieve appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
  • Tint and mix products as required to meet customer specifications.
  • Restock shelves and arrange displays.
  • Clean and maintain store equipment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
  • Support delivery efforts as needed.
  • Keep assigned areas in-stock and visually appealing.
  • Stay informed about products offered and discuss available options with clients.
  • Adhere to inventory control protocols.
  • Propose strategies to enhance sales performance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, of retrieving materials from shelves and floor stacks and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • If currently employed by Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
  • If currently employed by Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses for the current position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Hold at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role.
  • Possess prior experience in selling paint and related products.
  • Have experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
