Insight Global is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Credit Analyst to become an integral part of the commercial real estate division at a prominent international banking institution.

This is a full-time, permanent role that offers a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence three days a week.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the origination team, focusing on credit risk management by reviewing and interpreting financial statements, evaluating credit risk, preparing deal presentations, drafting credit approval documents, and presenting findings to the credit committee. Additionally, this role involves overseeing and managing the credit portfolio while assessing all risks linked to complex commercial real estate credit transactions.

The Senior Commercial Real Estate Credit Analyst will be expected to manage a substantial volume of transactions concurrently.

This position demands a proactive individual capable of independently executing tasks meticulously while contributing to a team of four other analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft detailed credit memorandums that deliver thorough analysis of new credit applications, identifying risks and mitigants associated with loan structures.
  • Collaborate with the origination team and credit as risks emerge during the underwriting and closing phases.
  • Support the presentation of transactions to the credit committee to facilitate approval.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Bank's lending policies and procedures, identifying any deviations from credit policy.
  • Advise on appropriate risk ratings in line with credit policy guidelines.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls regarding transactions, lead due diligence discussions, and guide the deal through the approval process.
  • Assist in conducting annual credit reviews as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Formal credit training.
  • Minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience within a Commercial Bank or similar real estate credit lender.
  • Experience with loans exceeding $540 million.
  • Strong analytical skills related to financial analysis (e.g., financial modeling and comprehension of financial data for commercial real estate loan transactions).
  • Ability to adapt quickly to various work scenarios, perform well under pressure, and be willing to assist the team as needed.
  • Capability to manage multiple long-term transactions simultaneously while prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and public presentation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with rent stabilization programs in New York City.
