Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is responsible for driving sales growth and revenue expansion within a specified territory. This role involves developing and implementing a sales strategy to acquire new customers and increase sales of bundled services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Prospect for new customers and build relationships with existing ones to increase sales of primary and ancillary communications solutions.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop and implement a Territory Plan that aligns with the company's sales goals.
  • Generate sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale.
  • Place orders through order management software and ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, and billing forms.
  • Hand off customer service and non-sales related client inquiries to the Customer Service department and focus on selling.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing-cycle model.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Bilingual Spanish.
Working Conditions

The Business Account Executive will work in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. The role may also involve exposure to moderate noise levels.

The base pay for this position generally ranges from $43,800.00 to $72,500.00, with additional forms of incentive-based compensation such as bonuses. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

The commission earnings target for this position starts at $54,000.
