Senior Manager of Product Analytics - Strategy and Leadership
Compensation: up to $160k
The Senior Manager of Product Analytics plays a crucial role in shaping advanced analytical frameworks and performance intelligence capabilities. This position is integral in fostering a customer-centric approach, driven by sophisticated analytics and digital innovation. The role involves strategic planning, product enhancement, and the execution of various analytical applications tied to the organization’s primary enterprise analytics systems.
This role necessitates close collaboration with executive leadership, functional departments (such as merchandising, revenue management, and human resources), business units, and technology teams, tailored to specific analytical use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish competitive advantages through data insights derived from data science, primary research, and market/customer intelligence.
- Formulate strategies for designing analytical models applicable to multiple use cases linked to the core enterprise analytics systems.
- Collaborate with leadership to outline business opportunities and devise suitable analytical strategies.
- Conduct data mining, cleansing, and manipulation, identify essential data components, acquire and consolidate extensive data sets, and address issues such as missing or corrupted data.
- Work alongside Business, Data Science, and Technology teams to ensure that analytical models are scalable and effectively implemented.
- Develop and enforce metrics to guarantee value realization from the deployed analytical models.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising analysts, business subject matter experts, and technical resources.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Business).
- MBA or advanced degree from a prestigious educational institution (preferred).
Experience:
- 5+ years in an analytical or strategic capacity within a corporate environment or leading professional services firm (e.g., Strategy, Finance, Insights).
Professional Skills:
- Familiarity with digital technologies, including an understanding of data architectures, data requirements, and limitations.
- Strong grasp of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics methodologies, including the trade-offs involved.
- Insight into business value drivers and the correlation between modeling decisions and business outcomes.
- Structured problem-solving abilities with the capacity to define challenges, analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to execute high-level initiatives.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the capability to engage both technical and management teams.
