Global Portfolio Leader - APM

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will have the chance to oversee the marketing of ABB's digital solutions tailored to specific market segments and manage these offerings throughout their lifecycle, aligning with market demands and the strategic objectives of the division/product group/business line. Each day, you will be responsible for the long-term profitable expansion of one or more digital solutions. You will also demonstrate your expertise by supporting business outcomes through the management of each phase involved in the offering lifecycle, including development, launch, go-to-market strategies, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. The work model for this role is remote. This position contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Crafting and articulating the strategic vision and roadmap for digital solutions; identifying potential gaps in the portfolio in relation to competitors and emerging market opportunities.
• Taking ownership of the technical and market specifications for the digital solution and formulating a business plan that promotes sustainable growth.
• Evaluating market data, competitor solutions, and customer insights to guide product decisions and prioritize feature development.
• Managing the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality digital solutions; prioritizing product features and enhancements based on customer value, business impact, and resource limitations.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required.
  • 10 years of experience in Product Management within enterprise-class software, Asset Performance Management software, or cloud monitoring solutions.
  • Familiarity with software-related business models for energy industry sectors preferred.
  • Understanding of User Experience (UX), design thinking, and commercial acumen.
  • Solid knowledge of building and/or operating production applications and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
  • Experience applying APM practices and methodologies (e.g., predictive asset management, reliability-centered maintenance, etc.).
  • Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
