Your role and responsibilities
In this position, you will have the chance to oversee the marketing of ABB's digital solutions tailored to specific market segments, managing these offerings throughout their lifecycle in alignment with market demands and the strategic objectives of the division/product group/business line. You will be responsible for ensuring the long-term profitable growth of one or more digital solutions. Your expertise will be essential in supporting business outcomes by supervising each phase of the offering lifecycle, including development, launch, go-to-market strategies, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. This role is designed to be remote and contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Crafting and articulating the strategic vision and roadmap for digital solutions; identifying potential gaps in the portfolio concerning competition and emerging market opportunities.
• Owning the technical and market specifications for the digital solution and formulating a business plan that fosters sustainable growth.
• Analyzing market data, competitor solutions, and customer insights to guide product decisions and prioritize feature development.
• Managing the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality digital solutions; prioritizing product features and enhancements based on customer value, business impact, and resource limitations.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Product Management within enterprise-level software, Asset Performance Management software, or cloud monitoring solutions.
- Preferred knowledge of software-related business models for energy industry sectors.
- Familiarity with User Experience (UX), design thinking, and commercial acumen.
- Strong understanding of building and/or operating production applications and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
- Experience in applying APM practices and methodologies (e.g., predictive asset management, reliability-centered maintenance, etc.).
- Candidates must possess valid work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
