About DC Scholars Public Charter School:

Job Summary:

We are seeking part-time individuals to teach the after-school curriculum in our PK3-5 program. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to provide leadership to scholars and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum for after-school program
  • Provide leadership and guidance to scholars PK3-5
  • Use developmentally appropriate strategies for behavior management
  • Manage groups while providing individual attention
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School diploma
  • 1 year of teaching experience
  • 1 year of experience working in a childcare/school setting
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and TB test

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Thursday: 3:00 PM - 5:45 PM
  • Friday: 1:00 PM - 5:45 PM
