Position Overview:

Our aftercare program is in search of dynamic, open-minded individuals who are eager to positively influence the lives of children.


We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative support staff to join our team. This rewarding role involves facilitating the intellectual growth of children in our program, interacting with them daily, and building trusting relationships with students, families, and educators.


Essential Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and assist in the coordination of aftercare programs for designated classrooms.
2. Actively support the successful execution of daily activities planned by Lead Teachers.
3. Lead classroom activities multiple times a week.
4. Monitor student behavior to encourage growth and progress, sharing positive feedback with parents.
5. Help students maximize their engagement in planned activities through encouragement and positivity.
6. Innovate and adapt teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and engaging.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement and education.


8. Facilitate and lead activities created by lead teachers in their absence, consulting with the Team Lead or Manager for any concerns.

9. Anticipate the needs of teachers and students to ensure smooth activity execution.
10. Supervise and ensure student safety during aftercare activities and field trips as necessary.
11. Ensure students are fully engaged in classes each period.
12. Assist in supervising transitions between classes and group activities.
13. Help supervise students during monthly field trips, ensuring safe transitions.


14. Support Lead Teachers in maintaining cleanliness and organization of materials used during programs.

15. Ensure Lead Teachers have the necessary materials for their classes daily.
16. Assist with other operational efforts as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Warm and approachable demeanor; ability to connect well with children and staff.
- Experience in before-and-aftercare program administration is advantageous.
- Basic technology skills required, including familiarity with Google Suite and Mac preferred.


- Must be a self-starter with effective time management skills, capable of working independently, and possessing proactive problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong motivational capabilities.
