Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our REEF program team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for leading a classroom of approximately 15 students in our before/after school enrichment program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's mission and curriculum.
  • Supervise and ensure students' safety during aftercare activities on campus and monthly on field trips.
  • Manage student behavior issues at REEF programs.
  • Document and follow up with parents regarding student behavior and progress.
  • Collaborate with REEF Operations Managers and staff to ensure aftercare classes, activities, and field trips are age-appropriate and meet the school's standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in before-and-aftercare program administration is strongly preferred.
  • Basic technology skills, including Google Suite and Mac experience.
  • Self-starter with sound time management skills, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills and strong motivational skills.
