Position Summary:

This role is part of the Early Childhood Portfolio and focuses on providing programmatic technical assistance for the Maternal Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Technical Assistance Resource Center (TARC) awardees. Funded by HRSA's Maternal and Child Health Bureau, the TARC supports MIECHV awardees across all states and territories in enhancing home visiting services to improve outcomes for families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver voluntary, virtual technical assistance to assigned awardees, focusing on maternal and child health, health equity, social determinants of health, program design, workforce development, and early childhood systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of technical assistance specialists, each with expertise in areas such as data, continuous quality improvement, evaluation, and fiscal support.
  • Contribute to universal technical assistance initiatives, including webinars, written materials, podcasts, and facilitating communities of practice.
Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree required.

Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing direct technical assistance to public health professionals at local or state levels.
  • Expertise in areas such as:
    • Implementation of home visiting programs, including development, innovation, performance, family engagement, and service delivery adaptations during public health emergencies.
    • Workforce development strategies, including recruitment, retention, and professional growth.
    • Behavioral health topics impacting families, including maternal mental health and trauma-informed care.
    • Health equity and addressing social determinants of health.
    • Conducting needs assessments to enhance home visiting service quality.
    • Effective group facilitation techniques for virtual engagement.
    • Quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
