Medical Assistant II

The Medical Assistant II will provide clinical support to physicians and patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and technical skills to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Responsibilities
- Utilize patient identification methods to ensure accurate patient care
- Review daily schedules and facilitate efficient patient flow
- Assist with patient intake and vital sign assessment
- Implement wound care under direct supervision
- Assist with preparing patients for procedures
- Perform selected procedures, including suture/staple removal
- Assist physicians in reporting test results and coordinating patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for patient care
- Administrative Tasks
- Evaluate and coordinate responses to patient inquiries
- Ensure examination rooms are stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives
- Coordinate practice activities with physicians to ensure quality services
- Prepare patient records and retrieve imaging
- Schedule follow-up tests as directed by physicians
- Quality and Patient Safety
- Report quality and safety concerns via the hospital's safety reporting system
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Comply with patient safety regulations to ensure high-quality care
- Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant training program preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of practical experience
The Medical Assistant II will work in an outpatient clinic setting, assisting patients and physicians. Some bending, lifting, walking, and sitting are involved.
