Position Summary
In the role of Branch Sales Associate, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, delivering outstanding service and product expertise to HVAC/R professionals and contractors. Your proactive approach, strong communication skills, and dedication to customer satisfaction will be pivotal to your success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor and assist them in selecting the appropriate HVAC/R products and supplies. Provide knowledgeable recommendations and product insights.
- Order Management: Efficiently process customer orders, ensuring accuracy in item availability, pricing, and invoicing. Handle various payment methods with attention to detail.
- Product Expertise: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our HVAC/R inventory, including specifications and pricing. Stay informed about industry developments and new product offerings.
- Inventory Oversight: Monitor stock levels and replenish inventory on the sales floor. Conduct regular inventory audits and report any discrepancies.
- Technical Assistance: Support customers in resolving technical issues related to HVAC/R equipment and components.
- Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork for customer transactions, including invoices, returns, and warranty claims.
- Prior experience in a customer service role, ideally within the HVAC/R industry.
- Strong understanding of HVAC/R products and equipment.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, including active listening and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computerized sales and inventory management systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn as part of a team.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable with bending, stooping, and reaching for products.
