Position Summary

We are in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to fill the role of Technical Engineering Specialist. This position is ideal for candidates eager to develop their careers with ASI, possessing strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a comfort with both hands-on and technical tasks. The ideal candidate will embody the following traits:

As a Technical Engineering Specialist, you will assist in performing dye dilution tests to verify flow meter accuracy and support the installation of monitoring and data communication equipment. Additionally, you may be involved in assisting civil engineers with planning and design tasks.

Minimum Qualifications (required to apply)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Possession of a valid Michigan Driver's License
  • Driving record and skills necessary to obtain a Chauffeur Certificate
  • Flexibility in scheduling

Preferred Qualifications (not required, but advantageous)

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or engineering technology, or an associate's degree in civil engineering technology
  • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Experience in testing or laboratory settings
  • Experience in driving and towing trailers

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct sampling and laboratory analyses related to wastewater
  • Review project drawings and plans to assess structural dimensions
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop work plans and timelines
  • Perform field surveys to gather data on site conditions and inspect structures
  • Monitor project sites to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulations
  • Document project activities and data through detailed reporting
  • Establish and maintain organized project files and records
