Massage Therapist - The Cliffs Hotel and Spa

The Cliffs Hotel & Spa stands as the premier oceanfront destination on the Central Coast, where every day offers breathtaking views and a commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring memorable experiences for our valued guests.

As a locally owned establishment, we proudly support our Central Coast community through various donations and community-focused initiatives, including philanthropic events throughout the year. We value our team members and regularly host appreciation events, provide discounted meals from our restaurant, and offer exclusive hotel benefits.

Our Spa is expanding, and we are in search of a gracious, skilled, and motivated part-time Massage Therapist who can deliver luxurious treatments that enhance our guests' experience. We eagerly anticipate connecting with you.


Role Responsibilities:

The Massage Therapist is tasked with fostering a rejuvenating and luxurious atmosphere within the Spa by delivering massages that aim to enhance circulation, promote relaxation, and alleviate stress. This role requires proficiency in appropriate draping techniques, professional communication, and adherence to The Cliffs' Mission & Values. Additionally, the Massage Therapist is responsible for maintaining California State Board Standards and ensuring the cleanliness of treatment rooms and shared spaces. Collaboration with Spa Attendants, Spa Reservationists, Spa Leads, and the Spa Manager is essential.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (4-8 hours)
  • Capability to perform multiple massages consecutively
  • Ability to repeat movements consistently
  • Endurance to use muscles for prolonged durations
  • Dexterity to handle, control, or feel objects and tools

Qualifications:

  • California Massage Therapist Certification
  • Willingness to comply with local permit ordinances upon hiring
  • Responsible Beverage Service trained and ABC exam certified
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Sales-oriented with the ability to communicate product and service information to guests
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout shifts
  • Effective communication and collaboration with colleagues across departments
  • Previous hospitality experience is preferred
  • Experience in a luxury spa setting is preferred
